Michael Mosley and Kerry Bishe join 'scrubs'

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Mosley and Kerry Bishe are the latest new regulars on "Scrubs," which will be refocused as a comedy set at a med school next season. They join Dave Franco, whose casting broke last week.

The trade paper says that Mosley will play a thirtysomething student who crashed out of Harvard Med a decade earlier and is now looked upon as a mentor-figure by his younger classmates.

Bishe, meanwhile, will play a first-generation med student from a family of commercial fishermen. Apparently her experience with fish makes her a natural surgeon, but she's having a hard time with the new pressures.

Most recently seen on FOX's not-a-TV-movie pilot "Virtuality," Bishe's other credits include episodes of "Royal Pains" and "Life on Mars."

In addition to his recent turn in "The Proposal," Mosley has been seen in multiple episodes of "Kidnapped" and "Kings."

Nick Zano, 'Scrubs' signs two new series regs

Courteney Cox has a new boyfriend, courtesy of "Cougar Town" creator Bill Lawrence.

The freshman comedy has cast Nick Zano ("What I Like About You," "Beverly Hills Chihuahua") to play her first recurring love interest on the show.

Across the hall, Lawrence's 9th year sitcom "Scrubs" has signed actors Michael Mosley and Kerry Bishe to series regular slots.

Mosley is set to play Drew, a 30-something medical student, returning to school after dropping out of Harvard Med a decade ago. Drew will be a reluctant mentor to his young classmates.
Bishe is set to play Lucy, a 22-year-old medical student, the first in her family of fishermen to attend college. Overwhelmed by the pressure from her professors and her parents, she sounds a bit like a blue collar Elliot Reid.

Mosley and Bishe join Dave Franco who landed a regular role in the "Scrubs" classroom late last week.
